Warren Buffett Sells All His Nike Stock

NKE sold.

The most famous billionaire investor of all-time has sold off all his equity ownership in Nike.

In Warren Buffett’s latest Berkshire Hathaway quarterly company stock holdings reflecting the end of 2010, all remaining 3.6 shares of Nike were sold.

But before you go running to short Nike stock, it appears Buffett was simply liquidating all the positions of his back up stock picker Lou Simpson who ran Geico’s (Berkshire subsidiary) investment portfolio which also included Bank of America and Comcast. Simpson retired at the end of 2010.

Shares of Nike (NKE) have traded in the $80-range since the start of this year.
