{News} Interning…

Interns have helped us out a lot over the last 10 years and not surprisingly a lot of them have gone on to very successful careers.  Mick started to intern at Star Trak before becoming Pharrell’s assistant and traveling the world.  Other examples, such as Neil  Jacobson, who is now a senior executive at Interscope (he also manages Robin Thicke and Kelis just to name a few) and Shaun “tofu” Jaffier who is on the air every morning with Angela Yee on Shade 45.  More recent interns are just starting off their career such as Laetitia who’s in Paris working for Comme des Garçons, Cassell who’s working on his photography and Lacey who works for us but discovered a new passion while in Japan.  Perri Dash also currently works for us and has teamed up with our former intern Chris(iFFY), who is now working on his music career(check it out below).  Moral of the story is that you have to take advantage of your environment while interning, the jobs you are asked to do might suck or might not be that interesting but it’s all about networking and getting your hustle on to take it to the next level!

{Shades} Highsnobiety x Super | Andrea

Highsnobiety x Super | Andrea

Thursday, August 26th 17:59 PM , ,

David Fischer has been very selective about what he’ll lend a Highsnobiety stamp of approval to, and further still about what he’ll actually put the logo on. But it’s with good cause when you see something like these Highsnobiety x Super Andrea sunglasses. Using vintage tortoise so difficult to come by it only allowed the production of 80 pairs set against black Italian leather, the Highsnob Andrea’s are the quite possibly the world’s most perfect autumn shade. If you aren’t in Paris or Berlin your only chance at getting them is here. – TB

{Kicks} Nike Air Max Uptempo 97 – Black – Metallic Silver – Varsity Red | Available on eBay

Nike Air Max Uptempo 97 Black Metallic Silver Varsity Red | Available on eBay

Not long ago the OG color-combo of the Air Max Uptempo 97 released but it was soon followed by two curious yet modern colorways that had our readers buzzing. The ‘Urban Federation’ Uptempo 97 and its all-red upper was a topic of conversation as was the recent grey/orion blue joints. If you like to stick to the OG fabric, the Black/Metallic Silver-Varsity Red joints just recently became available. If those polyurethane TPU ‘tear-drops’ and the crazy traction design doesn’t scream late-90’s Nike basketball, what does? Check out the extra images after the jump and pick up a pair from footsoldiers on eBay.

Reform Clothing

By Jack. Posted on August 27, 2010 at 12:07.

Dimitri Kalagas;
Having used the same photography as the base for their three previous look books, Reform approached me to give their marketing collateral a much needed refresh. Playing with concepts of customisation and colour, the resulting images aim to be both futuristic and surreal. All colouring was done in-camera. Final executions include a catalogue with centre foldout, a website overhaul, and posters”
